Time with Uncle Mike!

Kensie and I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with Michael, since Mom and Dad somehow managed to sneak away to the beach without us. :) Boy, did we have fun together! Talk about a weekend full of walks down memory lane! Aside from the obvious (living in my childhood home for 3 days), Mike recently found some of our old games in the attic... Mousetrap, Ready Set Spagetti, and my favorite... Hands Down!

On Sunday it was such a pretty day, although hot, so we went to the park around the corner. As kids, we used to ride our bikes or rollerblade up to the park, and we PLAYED for hours, until every ounce of energy was sapped from our dirty bodies, and it was time to head back home to the air conditioning and food.... it was so much fun! Yesterday, though, we drove to the park, stayed for 30 minutes, and there was no running or rough-play involved. Guess we'll have to wait until Kensie gets older for that.

Uncle Mike enjoyed his first park outing with Kensie:

I think, under that hat, was a smile.

Uncle Mike took his duty to watch out and protect Kensie a bit seriously. ;)

Michael remembers Dad pushing us on the swing, and sticking his head around to play peek-a-boo. Pretty neat that Michael remembers that, and played it with Kensie. We three had such fun times back in the day, and I can hardly wait to pass on all our fun to the next generation of kids.
